Our enemies develop countermeasures. We have to keep the best tech. Russia is also developing 5th Generation aircraft. We need to push our R&D so we are not on the end of tech surprise.

SPC Margaret Higgins: Jim is right, of course. The future weapon is always a race between opposing countries and ideologies. However, some of the tech toys are easily defeated and it just may be the old toys that save us. You can always depend on the Infantry. Now there is a tech that goes back a ways.
