Well, with it's caliph dead, it's nation a thing of the past. ISIS is nothing more than an idea. Only really being a boogie man, that anyone can "claim" so as to sow discord.
I'm sure some other successor to the Islamic prophet Muhammad will spring up somewhere, and "claim" the resurgence of ISIS. But, this is sort of like the collapse of Nazi Germany. With Hitler dead and their nation gone, they scattered like roaches in the light. Some made their mark after the collapse, but, most disappeared and are forgotten to history.
So should we be vigilant? Sure, why shouldn't we. But, I think we can breathe a collective sigh and move on with our lives to the next challenge.
