I have respected the office of President of the United States regardless who has occupied that position, every one of them during the better part of my 76 years of life (there were a few years in the beginning when I wasn't aware). Even President Obama. I have no respect for those who disrespect the President. I even scolded those who disrespected President Obama regardless of the fact that I disagreed with virtually everything he did as President.

I love these words. It's no different than respecting rank or position. We may not like the person but we should be respectful regardless.
