Kaepernick doesn't deserve a spot on any NFL roster for actions both on and off the field, LTC Orlando Illi. Coughlin also doesn't have to explain to the public his reasons for not selecting Kaepernick, although to anyone who's been paying attention, the reasons are blatantly apparent.

You didn't leave much for me. But, what happened to the 49er franchise after his protest. The owners aren't in this business to lose money.

MCPO Roger Collins, many people think that an owner(s) of an NFL franchise is concerned about Ws and Ls. Erroneous conclusion. They are concerned about $. It's a business. For example, the Tennessee Titans have had nine winning seasons in the twenty-one seasons they've been in Tennessee. Does that sound like a team concerned about winning? Of course not! However, they continue to play. Why? The franchise makes $, and that's the only real concern. They have a formula (revenue > expenses) and that's it. Whenever the Titans ownership gets tired of Nissan Stadium, Nashville will have to build them a new one, or they'll go somewhere else.
I personally have never understood why anyone would or could get to the point that they thought an NFL franchise was "their" team. The team (franchise owners) care only for their fan base as a function of their total revenue (see formula above).
I hardly watch them on TV, and going to a game is simply out of the question. CPL Robert Schmit

Ohio State currently has three quarterbacks playing in the NFL. Cardale Jones is a more pure pocket passer and is playing in Buffalo. Terrelle Pryror and Braxton Miller are run option quarterbacks much like Kaepernick. Both are playing in the NFL as wide receivers. If he wants to play in the NFL, he should change positions because those kind of quarterbacks do not do well in the NFL when everyone, to include linebackers and defensive linemen, run 4/4 forties.

If I were Kap, I would be a little embarrassed that Brock Osweiler, was cut by the Browns and picked up by the Broncos again...Maybe he need to look in the mirror and realize that his not playing has nothing to do with his kneeling, and everything to do that he wasn't all that good after defenses figured out his style and how to defend against it...
