Happy Birthday to Actor and Film maker Tom Hanks : Born on July 9, 1956, in Concord, California, actor Tom Hanks began performing with the Great Lakes Shakespeare Festival in 1977, later moving to New York City. He starred in the television sitcom Bosom Buddies, but became far more known when he starred in the Ron Howard film Splash. We the People came together during WWII because we had leaders who brought us together: Roosevelt, Churchill and, yes, even Stalin. Each was a master stroyteller. And in their stories, they dreamed dreams and set goals, and we strove towards them. We are at war today, but lack the leadership. Indeed, our "leaders" are doing the opposite of Roosevelt and the others. They are dividing us into voting blocs and setting one against the other. And, as we squabble among ourselves, our real enemies are doing real damage. I hope that Hanks persists in his mission. Hopefully, someone, somewhere will get the message...
