The Battalion CO and XO approached me and told me was going to Fleet Intelligence School in San Diego... and that I was already two days late.

We didn't have a NOD section, that was at Regiment. The only night vision gear we saw belonged to Dragons in Weapons Co, and TOWS at Regt.

My good buddy from ROTC assignment Armor LTC, whose first THREE assignments were Infantry (not authorized a CIB, but has Earned EIB) got to stay in Nashville as PMS at Vanderbuilt U. when he finished his MEPS station command. Retired, got his ED PhD, and still influences MIddle School kids. Hoo-ah!
