Hands down one of the best live performances I have ever seen was "Weird" Al.
My favorite part of the show was Al decided he wanted to take a request. He insinuated that the request was to be one of his older songs that doesn't get much concert time. He asked his guitarist what he'd like to hear/play and he (guitar player) said "I want to hear some old Hendrix" and started playing the opening riff of Purple Haze. Al started throwing a tantrum like "No, that's not what I meant!" Pretty soon the rest of the band starts playing along with the guitar player. When it came time for the opening lyrics, Al acted all resigned and started signing the song. Us older people in the crowd started going nuts. It was awesome!

"Weird Al" Yankovic is my favorite artist. I have to agree with you PO1 John Miller his band puts on amazing concerts. His Yoda chant is fantastic and I enjoy how he adds to it every so often.
