This is a bizarre list Sgt Joe LaBranche
Napoleon Bonaparte, Abraham Lincoln, Winston Churchill and George Washington each suffered greatly before they reached the heights. They led some of the finest people to do amazing things for their nations.
On the other hand:
Mao Zedong was a ruthless tyrant.
Fidel Castro and Adolph Hitler were megalomaniacs
Che Guevera was a hug who got what he deserved in the jungles of Bolivia when their Special Forces hunted him down the dog he was.
It is not surprising that anybody who listed the above as great would exclude Jesus known as the Christ.

I would also argue using Che's face as a symbol of rebellion isn't so fitting as it is a gross level of ignorance.

Bozos who wear Che Guevera shirts clearly show the world how ignorant they truly are. His failed attempt to raise insurrection in Africa was a dismal record of alienating his "sea". SF Force "multiplier" -- 12 men helped built a Ranger Battalion. Veritus magazine has an in-depth account naming the Mobile training team. 7th SFG(A) doing good in South America!

Hitler's leadership strength was in politics. In military strategy and intuition, however...

he, Hitler, took advantage of the great depression and his fame from Mein Kampf, rampant inflation earlier in the 1920s and the weak Weimer Republic which its seems was always getting attacked by revolts from within..

Hitler had two political skills:

Analyzing feckless French politicians.

Analyzing feckless British politicians.

Churchill during the 1930's said something like: "The Germans are not looking for justice. They are looking for weapons."

And:

"The Germans are always at your throat or at your feet."

How did he miss Jesus Christ? He must be PC and could not bring himself to include Mohammed?
I believe GEN George Catlett Marshall, architect of Allied VICTORY, in WWII, and Secretary of State post war. Marshall Plan, anyone? Churchill was great, but he did not operate alone. At least B. (Slowpoke) Montgomery did not make the list. True world list would include Ghendis Khan, maybe?

Montgomery is perhaps the most overrated general of all time.

Genghis Khan. Good choice.

"The greatest happiness is to scatter your enemy, to drive him before you,
to see his cities reduced to ashes, to see those who love him shrouded in tears,
and to gather into your bosom his wives and daughters."

Hell yeah.

I actually saw this painted on the door of a rifle company office at Camp Lejeune many years ago:

"True happiness lies in driving your enemies before you and hearing the lamentations of his women."

In red.

Depending on what books one reads one could say Montgomery is why the European theater lasted well past Christmas 1944 as opposed to ending by that point. He wasn't on the front line in the way that Patton was so he had no real idea of what was actually going on. Too busy securing his political side IMHO.
