Thanks SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL we all realize that the clandestine Armies which the OSS and its descendant the CIA formed, equipped [and periodically abandoned such as the Bay of Pigs Cuban army which was intercepted after JFK abandoned support for them.] and supported for a period of time including the Mujahedeen in Afghanistan including Osama Bin laden in the 1980s war against the USSR in Afghanistan were generally abandoned after they were no longer a viable asset.
