The most appropriate comment in there was do the homework before making changes. Some changes do need to happen in almost every aspect of government, however rushing in changes for the sake of change is a recipe for disaster.

I agree that there needs to be some change, but doing it this fast could result in disaster. Part of the reason why I let my ex wife talk me into EASing was that I was stuck at Corporal. I had the cutting scores, I had the PFT and Rifle range score, I had all the mandatory classes completed and passed and I already had completed the NCO course, and I was so damn good at my job that they offered me the B-Billet of teaching the MUX course in 29 Palms, but I couldn't get promoted to Sgt because my MOS was already full of them. It was frustrating and demoralizing, and I was not the only Corporal to have this problem. I was on active duty for 5 years and I couldn't get past E-4, that coupled with poor command at plt level led to me getting out...........and I regret it. Yes, there needs to be change, but do it properly, don't rush it.
