Personally...I can't wait. The original was one of the many films that set me on course for Annapolis and Pensacola...though in my case, it wasn't meant to be. It'll get a lot of things "wrong", I'm certain (like some die-hard fighter jock managing to stay in the saddle for more than three decades, or an O-6 owning a P-51)... but it'll be a kick. I have friends who live the reality of this image, and they're still my heroes. There's one guy I wish more than anything I could watch this one with... he was the, "best pilot I ever saw", to coin a great line from another great film. "Tater", "Walleye"; I feel the need... the need for speed!

Not my favorite film to start with. Suppose all those who want action with music playing in the background will love it, but it's all fake.
