I think it's too late for that...seems to be the Military is already very much "Politicized." The top Officers who make the decisions walk on egg shells as it is to appease all of the Politicians and the Commander and Chief. I believe many of the Officers in charge for each branch do not really get to make the decisions they want to make...they are told by Politicians and the POTUS what to do....Seems to me the "MILITARY" cannot get any more "POLITICIZED" then they already are.

For these officers to turn around and tell the troops not to politicize the Military is a JOKE....

The last Flag Officer we had with any real integrity was General Ronald Fogleman in 1997 when he voluntarily retired in after the Administration wanted to place all the blame on Brig Gen Terryl "Terry" Schwalier for the Khobar Towers bombing. Unless of course you include Stanley McChrystal who didn't apologize for the remarks his subordinates made about the Obama Administration in the Rolling Stone article. Kudos to both of them!

An interesting perspective. War is a political act. The military is under the command of politicians. Those who serve vote. Maybe it would be more honest if he had simply said "Don't forget your muzzles"

The Bigger problem is those in the highest ranks being Politicians in uniform or feathering their nests for political runs.
