And Putin is the cause, since he is attacking a major grain producer and making it very hard for Ukraine to ship what grain they have.

A world food shortage would require we here can not provide the difference. And we may not be able to because of the cost of fertilizer, seed and fuel increases. Which at this point is 2/3 higher now than last year.

I will say in my area Farmers are becoming very resourceful about finding other ways to provide nitrogen to their crops, using animal waste etc. But fuel cost are going to make those products more expensive once they hit the market.

Countries need to ration the wheat and other grains used in food MAJ Dale E. Wilson, Ph.D. , read the Bible, Joseph had grainiries built to store wheat in for the famine that was predicted.

It's hard to believe that we would have famine in this country barring national disasters or neuclear war. This current food shortage is a pain in the ass,but we produce so much food here, if this happens it would hurt exports more than us. In WW2 we managed to get by and I think that this country would survive.

It’s not hard to believe. A lot of fertilizer comes from Eastern European countries like Ukraine.
The cost of fertilizer alone is already two times more this year than it was last year. What cost $300 K last year is now closer to $1 million this year the fuel for the tractors is now twice as much.
There will be people starving here once again like they did just after WWII.
