I have seen 8 out of the 13 listed. I cannot, however, get through Apocalypse Now. I get to the part where they are up the river at a village - can't watch after that. Part of the reason is that the actors themselves were all messed up on drugs and the energy in scene is too much.

My mom & I were watching The Deer Hunter one time and, as usual, my tears were flowing. Mom, a stoic Irish farm girl from North Dakota, asked why it bothered me so much and said "Your Uncle was in Vietnam..." (my dad's brother). I said "yes, and although I'm sure he was affected by the losses, he was a logistics officer & not In Country..."

I think I've said this before on here, and I don't see it lately, "welcome home to all you Vietnam veterans"

Yeah...saw them all and a few more not listed. At least 7 of them were anti-war or out and out fantasy bullshit that had nothing to do with reality. One of FMJ's screen writes,r Michael Herr wrote hands down the best book on Vietnam, ever, but the movie lost reality after the Boot camp section that was spot on. B in CO C was realistic as was Hamburger Hill. We were soldiers was good, but I always felt that they were idiots to drop into the Ashau (everyone, but Moore, apparently, knew it was a beehive) Apocalypse had some rare moments of truth, the last bridge (before Cambodia really was) running on bloodlust and the zoned in M79 shooter (I knew a few of these scary fucks) I enjoyed Deer Hunter because it had my Pa. birth town down cold but the rest was cut from whole cloth and total fantasy. The Green Berets had the Marines at the Danang PX flic, rolling with laughter in 67. 84 C Mopic very good but predictable. Most of Stones shit should have earned him a good ass kicking for making us look like murdering scum, as well as most of the other $ making "Blockbusters" Most of them just piss me off....the good ones give me nightmares.

PS, I spent a life time overcoming the medias irresponsible, weekly portrayal of Vietnam veterans as crazed, drugged out, gun toting, murdering, psychos. It just seemed endless until Magnum P.I. and Tom Selleck finally showed us some respect.

I saw almost all of them. I only watched snippets of Coming Home. I just can't support watching anything Hanoi Jane (Jane Fonda).
