Starting in the early '90s, this longtime oil and gas state embraced the wind industry, wooing companies with generous tax breaks. Oklahoma recently became second in the country for wind power capacity, after Texas. The nation's largest wind farm is under construction here.

Thanks for sharing PO1 William "Chip" Nagel that wind-swept Oklahoma has embraced the wind industry, wooing companies with generous tax breaks.
Diversification in energy makes sense for a state with ample resources of longtime oil and natural gas. They have enough cows to unleash bovine wind if ample natural wind is not available. :-)
