I am a firm believer media changes our perceptions of the world by the content and frequency of its news.

I think the author is only scratching at the surface here as to what is actually happening in our Republic. It’s We the People vs the Political Class and we are too busy being led by sensational headlines to figure out that we are getting played. Ask yourself this- who has to gain from the current political environment? Is it We the People or is it the Political Class that seems to never live by rules that are set upon us? Republicans and Democrats both need to get their collective heads out of their asses and come together in a common cause to oust the elite that have saddled our nation with unprecedented debt, created a legal system designed to favor one segment of society when political advantages can be gained, gotten us into unending wars with no endstate other than we must increase defense spending in the military industrial complex; same with a failed monopolistic education system that has proven incapable of preparing the next generation for the complexities of a 21st Century workforce while the elite send their children to Ivy League Universities where they are sure to find gainful and lucrative employment. Ever heard the MSM mention the unemployment % of the children of the elite class? The media is not toxic. It simply has been infiltrated. Today’s media serves as a political mouthpiece of the elite connected political class to undermine the People and have us constantly bickering at each other while solving none of this nations problems.

LTC (Join to see) Very thoughtful response. Seems to be something you've been mulling over, just a bit. I like it.
