Trainees at Air Force BMT to Start Training on M4 This Summer

That is quite the weapon TSgt Joe C. for our Airmen to train on!!! When I went through BMT, we trained with the M-1 Carbine... and it was nothing like the awesome weaponry we have today! Great Post, Joe!

you know, it's really funny...I obv did such rifle stuff with Army ROTC at Ft. Did and at West Point with the cadets there, though when I went through USAF OTS, and I swear, this is really true, the ammo for the .38 pistols we were apparently to have trained on, that was what was normally done at that time, cost too much, so we were sent over from Medina Annex to the main side of Lackland for the obstacle course instead...the obstacle course tower proved to be a major pain, honest, I'm really lucky I didn't get my skull cracked open on it, for real, you know? As I'd said, hopefully amusing true anecdote....
