From the article.
“"As a result, the special counsel is effectively removable at will," Friedrich write.
Though Friedrich, the first Trump-appointed judge to consider the matter, ultimately supported Mueller's validity, she left a trail of legal breadcrumbs suggesting she had doubts about some of the special counsel team's arguments. Friedrich found that existing laws "'do not explicitly authorize' the [Rosenstein] to appoint the Special Counsel, rejecting arguments by Mueller's team that several statutes backed up his appointment.”

MCPO Roger Collins That pretty much matches most of our current understanding. Ultimately the DoJ started the investigation and they can end it. Politically, that’s another matter.

MCPO Roger Collins - I’ve never been a fan of Bill Clinton. I used to call him the “wild weasel”. Schumer was right though. We have been in a political race to the bottom and the Republicans are much better at it than the disorganized Democrats at playing that game.
I think we disagree on Trump but perhaps we can agree the politics are not that great right now. Perhaps they never were.

SPC Kevin Ford Even though we disagree on policy, you are one of the few that can hold a reasonable, sensible debate, Kevin.
