He sure did and no one is denying that. It's called being civil and gracious for doing something that was affecting the country as a whole... Something the Democrats could learn from when they speak of Trump.
Now that we agree on that let's also point out that Walz himself admitted the following:
"The two-term governor acknowledged his decision to delay deploying the National Guard and called the city's response an "abject failure," during a press conference a few days after protests gripped the Twin Cities and the greater Minneapolis area, causing extensive damage to buildings, businesses, and a police precinct that was overrun by rioters and set ablaze."
I remember these events well and how Trump was calling governors to offer assistance and advise them to activate their National Guard to quell the riots. Some ignored, others already had things under control, some simply hesitated. When Walz finally made the order, Trump offered his approval and praise. That's what he should have done. It still does not take away from the fact that Walz in his admitted hesitancy enable $500M in damages, businesses and homes were destroyed, and several people were killed. This guy wants to be VP, one step from Commander in Chief? No thanks.

Except now Trump is decrying him, doing his usual name calling, etc etc.
Yet Vance is a better option for VP? LOL gtfo.

Giving him credit where credit is due does not mean Walz continued to lead well as a governor. So yes, I see Vance as a better option.
