Trump instructs US Navy to shoot and ‘destroy' Iranian ships harassing US ships

Good news!

I like how all the military leaders talked around the issue. They all stated that all ships have the inherent right of self defense. No kidding. That's nothing that has changed since Trump's statement. In so many words, the admirals basically said nothing really changed, and we aren't going to necessarily shoot any boat that comes at us and harasses us out of the water.

This reminds me of when Trump claimed he ordered the troops at the Mexican border to shoot bullets if protesters throw rocks. The general's said the same thing about right of self defense. But guess what, we didn't start shooting bullets at people throwing rocks.

This is just more bluster from a president trying to look tough without actually changing any orders or ROE at all.
