Trump order drops protection for families of deployed military - Democratic Underground

I don't mean to sound harsh and insensitive, but aren't those THEIR problems? All throughout Latin America we have government corruption, police corruption, gangs, druglords, violence toward women, child labor, etc. It is up to them to solve their own problems.

We can help them to solve some of their problem by cutting demand for illegal drugs and not hiring those that enter our country illegally. Those are what creates the incentive for people to want to leave their country... And when they come, they bring their problems with them. Instead of giving them incentive to run away from their problems, the BEST thing we can do for them is to send them back home so they can deal with the mess they left behind and work on cleaning it up. There is no reason they can't work just as hard to make THEIR country better. Freedom is worth fighting for.

Obama promised a lot of things and didn't deliver on them. And he never had any intention of delivering when he made some of his promises. He promised Obamacare would not be a tax and that it wouldn't cost the middle class a dime because it would pay for itself through increased efficiencies... He promised people could keep their insurance and their doctor knowing full well that his policies would cause people to lose both. His ACA policies would prompt insurance companies to drop out of the market and doctors likewise would get out of the business because they did not want to deal with the red tape and payments under Obamacare. MOST people now pay more for less coverage, and yes, it IS a tax!

When I joined the military I was promised free health care AND free dental care. And look how that turned out...

People should not build their futures around the promises of a politician -- especially one that was/IS a known liar.

Capt Jeff S. - I think you have mistaken my point. I am not I favor any form of amnesty. I think the first rail on any border fence, should be no hope of economic opportunity or normalization upon unlawful entry or intentional overstay.
