I personally do not agree with wanton Torture as a means to get information. I also do not believe in stooping to someone's level just to "get even". In this case GEN Hayden has spoken about the lack of logic in regards to torture and targeting of terrorist family members. I know if someone was to do my family harm, I'd want to go after that person who did it; not the family unless they are directly involved. How would we vet the intel to ensure we're not committing wholesale murder, and what happens if the intel is wrong? We've had instances where intel was clearly wrong (Iraq). Are we as a nation willing to take that chance? Again, I'm all for an eye for an eye, but this proposal goes against common sense, our nations laws, and against the 10 commandments.
