I'm going to caveat that domestic violence is not a gender specific issue. Anyone can be a victim - and anyone can be a perpetrator. It is not gender based.

Now this: 'The Trump Justice Department’s definition only considers physical harm that constitutes a felony or misdemeanour to be domestic violence – meaning other forms of domestic violence such as psychological abuse, coercive control and manipulation no longer fall under the department’s definition." "The Office on Violence against Women (OVW), part of the Department of Justice, has amended its definition of sexual assault to also focus on criminal justice aspects." This is stupid.

Domestic violence and sexual assault are complex issues. There shouldn't only be focus on physical aspects especially domestic violence. But this doesn't surprise me at all from this administration.

I think that the President could have used better tact, than the way this came out, as interpretations seem to vary widely.

Yes, I have heard of many things here Trump has issues himself with many varieties of abuse as someone pointed out. I do not know of anything recent, although the women seem to be coming out of the woodwork to complain, now that he's the President. But all these complaints come from a time when he was a younger man, and again, I know of nothing new.

I have also said on several occasions the President usually opens his mouth to change feet, and he would be much better served often to just not make any comments at all and just keep going about his business.

What are you talking about? This administration changed the definition of domestic violence and sexual assault. This isn't about accusations toward him.

It also doesn't matter when someone abuses a person - there's never an excuse for it. I suggest actually READING the article.

We know of his deserved and recurrent abuses, of many varieties, towards women particular. He is doing to this to only protect himself as Abuse-in-Chief.
