Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - Really? Because it is easier to conduct relations when you can form some level of amiable personal relationship, even if your global objectives don't align.
Wouldn't it be nice if our DNC and RNC elite could accept social invitations from each other? Something might get done.

That being said, I don't think "giving a damn about what anybody else thinks" is one of our President's strengths. I'm pretty sure that's why many support him, and he knows it.
