Trump says 'missiles coming' against Syria, 'new and smart'

Let's make a couple of assumptions here to discuss:
1. POTUS DOES launch the new and smart missiles to Syria.
2. Russia does (as it says it would) shoot some or all of them down.
What's the US next play in that region? What makes sense? What doesn't? What are the strategic drivers that will determine our level of continued involvement in Syria and what are the hard lines we should not allow Russia and Syria (Assad) to cross?

I do not have the answer to your questions, but I have one of my own: Why does he publicize, ahead of time, what the military may or may not do? The analogy the comes to mind is the coach of a NFL team giving the teams play book to their next opponent a few days before the game. Dumb.

Trump to be the only candidate who could compete against their chosen queen bee in the general election.
I remember anothr democrat talk how host brazenly daring trump to run and then jokingly volunteer to donate money to his campaign just to enjoy the entertainment.
I remember one democrat paychophant afterb another, along with their mealy mouthed RINO collaborators every single day and night swearing up and down that trump didn’t stand a snowballs chance in hell of winning the gop primary and then becoming even more frantic as he did just that and was running against their chosen one.
I remember the polls throughout the election cycle being touted 24/7 that showed trump behind by double digits Nd never gaining ground as the democrats and establishment RINO’s crowed on about what kind of president they hoped Clinton was going to be.
I especially remember the night of 8 NOV, 2016 as the Clinton cheerleading media across the board went on and on with their foreigners conclusions that voting in the election mounts to nothing now then formality at their will staged and coreographed “spontaneous” celebrations across the country.
But most of all, I remember the looks on their faces as the realization set in that their lies, self delusions, and wishful thinking were nothing but an empty pipe dream that was crumbling right before their eyes...
And then came theahock and grief as they realized that it was really happening.
And finally, the screaming tantrums and tears that followed for days and week afterward, some even to this very day.....
Have any of you democrats, in your obsessive deranged hatred for this man ever even xonsisered the possibility that you could be setting yourselves up for the same scenario in 2020?
I don’t pretend to have psychic abilities that oils allow knowledge of future election results based on my omptional desires, but can anyone actually guarantee that he will never be re-elected for a second term?
