On Tucker Carlson Tonight Tuesday, Carlson put an abrupt end to an interview with a former New York City deputy sheriff and corrections officer, Ed Gavin, who disagreed with him on the outcome of the murder trial of Derek Chauvin. Hours earlier, Chauvin, a former Minneapolis police officer, was found guilty on all counts for the murder of George Floyd last May. Carlson opened the show claiming that the jury only voted to convict Chauvin because they were scared, and later questioned if we can “trust the way this decision was made.” This came just a day after Carlson accused the media of “lynching” Chauvin. Gavin, on the other hand, couldn’t have seen things more differently.
