As Turkey prepares to carry out a possible assault on a Kurdish enclave in Syria, Damascus has warned that its forces will shoot down any Turkish plane that enters its airspace.

While I would like to see the Turks and Syrians going at each other tooth and nail it remains to be seen how much of this is typical ME-type fire and fury from local dictators.
