I appreciate the US Navy with all its help in the South China Sea and what is doing worldwide including trying to mitigate suffering in Puerto Rico. You and the Marine Corps are really busy trying to get supplies out to those isolated cities that haven't had water in days. I also didn't know that the older nuclear submarines have an over capacity of making electricity. I just hope they have the adapter to not fry the grid when they do power up the city they're trying to help. God save the US Navy and to hell with that idiot Kaepernick who sends money to a black panther terrorist who escaped from jail and is now hiding in Cuba. How in the hell did we open up an embassy in Cuba without getting all these hijackers back as part of the exchange? I will tell you why, it's because President Obama said the biggest threat to this world is global warming and he did it unilaterally even if the Cubans said no for the extradition request! Thanks again for the US Navy being out there and sacrificing their lives to keep the peace..

LTC (Join to see) - The Navy has powered up cities many times, they will get Puerto Rico running again soon. The USS Kearsarge has a huge hospital on board too. And the helos on board can ferry a huge amount of cargo from ship to sore. I wish I could serve again, my Navy days started in 1966 and disappeared 27 years ago when I retired in 1990, but I will do whatever needs to be done on the home front or in the voting booth! I appreciate you words about the Navy, I quite fond of them too! But the world and our country seems to be falling apart, and I can't speak to the Army, but I fear that much damage has been done to the Navy, and there are no quick fixes when it tales years to build a war ship, train troops to man then, and find good senior officers to run those ships. I am sure it is the same with all the services. I am no political scientist, but the surge I witnessed during the last 8 years was something I have never seen before. The top generals, Admirals and commanders were tossed out like they were sacks of potatoes. A removal on that scale is tantamount to a Military Holocaust! The ships that I saw decommissioned was most alarming. Keep up the good work Maj. We at home appreciate all you do. Stay safe and thank you for your service.

CWO3 Dennis M. -
Now we're hearing that the possibility of these accidents happening is because of a shortage of crew on the ships having to pull double-duty and them not getting enough sleep between shifts that will have some of them hallucinate while on the bridge and miss the ships that maybe nearby them. I read this and another article about a Navy Seaman who was who sitting on the bridge due to not enough sleep. So we have the sequestration we've had since 2010 we're both the Army, the Air Force and the Navy have gutted much of their maintenance to keep the budget tight which affects Navy, Army and Airforce readiness. You hear about the Air Force taking Parts off of display planes to keep B1 bombers flying. It's a real mess and until we can get a real budget, it's going to take five years for us to slowly get the army the Navy and the Air Force back up to some semblance of readiness. Thank you for your service as well!
