And once again we abandon the one group in that theater worth fighting for, the only one that fights for itself

totally agree with you Jack.. complete failure to understand the long term planning benefits vs the short term..... we should have done the Kurds right in 2002...

I don't give a crap about Turkey. They need to get booted from NATO. I don't give a crap about Iraq either because we'll likely be back in there full force when the next dictator goes rogue.

It's like CPT Jack Durish said, the Kurds are the one group worth fighting for.

Not sure? It's really sad when I was in Iraq in 2005, the one-star general Brigade commander of the Idaho National Guard had an interpreter that was Kurdish who lived the United States and was married to a Mexican so he spoke English, Arabic, Kurdish and Spanish. I used to talk to him all the time since I was the liaison officer and we had to have our food brought to our tactical operations center. It's too bad that we seem to be turning our back on the curves but maybe were too afraid of Turkey and all of a sudden having evil fanatical Iranian units come from Southern Iraq and start some serious fighting. That's all I can guess.
