For decades, Canada has been a major exporter of softwood lumber to the U.S. market; pine and spruce trees used primarily to frame homes and buildings. But America can’t meet domestic demand for this lumber on its own. After the most recent lumber trade agreement expired in 2015, the countries were unable to negotiate a new one.

The environmentalist should that let them cut down the lumber from the beetle that kills the trees. Not doing that allows Megaforce fires. I wish environmentalists would not be so protective because it ends up destroying way more by not letting them cut those dead trees down. A few years back, the big fire in Big Bear Lake Area destroyed many homes because they had not been allowed to cut in over 40 years
