U.S. Marines to Spend $7 Million on New Ski Equipment

Not a big shock. The Marines traditionally had the mission during the Cold War to defend Norway and the Kola Peninsula from the red hordes. There were annual combined exercises in Norway withe the Norwegians and the Marines during the 80s and part of the 90s. So with the resurgence of Russia It is deja vu all over again.

OK people listen up: I understand that yesterday one of you lost your skis in the snow here in Norway. These damn things cost the MC $10,000 a set and we have to make them last. Now I want those skis found and returned to supply by 1630 or no one goes on liberty. - First Sergeant...

They don't need F-35 JSF multipurpose skis that snap in cold weather LOL.
