Capt Dwayne Conyers I have never had a problem with conserving our wildlife, but when it extends to the point of adversely affecting the livelihood or heritage of families, there should be considerations made.As it stands now there are no considerations for humans only the species of plant or animal.I have personally witnessed people removed from ancestral homes and properties against their will, also lands taken because one bird or a specific animal decided to live there. One case here was over a small minnow that was found in a stream and stopped a multi-million dollar business from being initiated because it was supposed to be only found there, later it was determined there are many streams here that it dwells in,but this was too late for the many humans that would have benefited from the boost to their economy, and to my knowledge it is still on the list as endangered.Too many "conservationist" are quick to jump at the chance at "protecting" a specified plant, animal or bird and ignore the effect on the humans involved. IMO --The Endangered Species Act needs some revision or at least a bit more discretion in evaluating the subject being placed on it.
