U.S. Stands By Saudi Arabia, Despite Criticism Over Civilian Casualties In Yemen

These are always difficult to sort out. Not helped by "staging" which has been done over and over in Middle East conflicts. I don't know how we would stop the Saudis from what they are doing...

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel, the fact that wars, global, regional or even local, will result in casualties must be fully understood. The Saudi-Yemeni war is an old regional one. The U.S. is an external additive, which only fuels the fire, because we support only one side of the equation and both sides are Arabs. The additive is Christian and the Waring factions are Muslims. This goes back to the unfamed banter "America is for White Christian Americans alone; America has no place for Black Africans" and "You Indian don't belong in my America, so leave or face my wrath". In the same way, Saudis and Yemeni people think Arabia is for the Arabs alone. Civilian casualties by additive forces, who are not Arabs and who are non-Muslims, is unacceptable. Perhaps; the U.S. should leave regional wars to the feuding parties and only if it's archrivals enter the fray, the U.S. should concentrate on making America the model democracy for global emulation.

I went to Saudi Arabia in 2011 on the border of Yemen to help train Infantry tactics with the Saudi troops and most of the time we spent there the Saudis didn't do shit. They were lazy and stupid as hell. It sucks we put all the money time and effort to train people who don't want our help. It's sad how these terrorist attack their own people but unfortunately we cannot make these countries change when they don't want to.
