It's a shame, but I agree with the article. Turkey has lost the path Ataturk set with Kemalism, and will unfortunately slide back into Islamism and the forces of Jihadism. NATO should consider dropping Turkey, as they are no longer the ally we could once count on.

I sure am glad now I was able to check Istanbul off my Bucket List many moons ago. Don’t think it would make for a promising vacation spot today.
