there are a lot of authors that write about Islam and Jihad in this manner. while all Muslims are not Jihadist, all Jihadist are Muslim... I often hear people ask why Muslims attack and kill other Muslims or what is the point of Jihad. Here are some good answers.

Some want Muhammad to come back. ISIL thinks the end of the world is near. The Islamic rapture where Muhammad comes back to judge near the end of times. If this were true, boy would he be as upset as Jesus because ISIL has distorted the teaching of the Koran and killed innoncents that were not trying to harm anyone. Jihad explained in vision to Muhammad was not even close and Muhammad would be as mad at ISIL,the Taliban. The religion/political system called Islam needs to fear us. Then, those who do not want to follow Muhammad will turn in the ones that are.
As long as we appear weak, those who truly follow Muhammad will scare the majority of Muslims into submission.
