What T F is a "Safe Space" ???... Is that where the Thin Skinned Easily Offended Morons Go to Hide from Reality, because they Can't Handle the Truth... Of they heard words that make them Feel Bad... Or Saw something that Scared them...
Life is Tough and ever worse when you are Stupid...

Best I can understand is not allowing them to have blinders on when it comes to the below:

Trigger warnings — used to alert students of sensitive material that might be uncomfortable, offensive and traumatic to them, such as discussions about race and sexual assault — are becoming more widely used by universities across the country. Similarly, safe spaces are popping up on campuses to shelter students from speakers and topics that might make them feel uncomfortable.

In other words, the poor little babies will be exposed to uncomfortable conditions they aren't used to hearing or seeing. What a bunch of wussies.

Good. This country DOES still have level-headed, sane individuals.

They're probably as tired of all this PC as most of us are. Kids in college need to be introduced to the nasty, hateful, real world. Putting them in blinders isn't going to help them one iota when they graduate.

As an institution of rigorous discourse U of C could say nothing less. Universities need to promote all ideas and an intelligent discourse on them.
