Every lawmaker supporting voter restrictions is dishonoring the oath they took to support the Constitution. They are subversives!

No really. Not allowing them to take a paid job contrary to the state. If you read UF's statement, this is outside employment - they would be paid for their testimony (which, I would think is pretty normal. I mean, I have never been paid for mine, but I have always been on the stand as a personal matter or in an official capacity, meaning I was paid by employer for my time, it just happened that the time that day was on the stand.)
Solution: They volunteer their service as experts. Now it is not outside employment.
Solution: The Plaintiff subpoena these experts (or they join as plaintiffs). Now their testimony is compulsory (also, not paid), and also not subject to this UF rule.
Their testimony is not blocked. They just can't get PAID to act against the state who employs them. Seems pretty reasonable to me.
