Medal of Honor recipient Cpl. Jason Dunham selflessly sacrificed his own life when he leapt atop an enemy grenade, saving at least two other Marines.
On April 14, 2004, Marine Cpl. Jason Dunham, a squad leader with 3rd Battalion, 7th Marines, was leading his men on a mission near Karabilah, Iraq. A call came through that the battalion commander’s convoy was under attack by small-arms fire and rocket-propelled grenades. Hopping into Humvees, the Marines made their way toward Camp Husaybah, two kilometers away.

TSgt Joe C. Have you ever wondered if you could jump on a grenade, knowing what's about to happen to you? I think anyone who cared for their team mates, and knew maybe all of them would be killed or severely injured, would do it. In war, we take care of each other no matter what happens to us. God Bless this Marine CPL.
