I can think of quite a few non-combat scenarios where that capability could come in handy, particularly after major natural disasters.

I bet some expeditionary support commands will get some. We have something similar already. I took these pictures at Camp Pendleton. A couple Army Reserve expeditionary support command 1 * commands have a few flat bottom landing craft like these. They can already carry a few tanks or a few trucks and they can cruise from San Diego to Alaska Non-Stop. They have a couple warrant officers and a crew of about 24. The United States Army Navy.
