WASHINGTON — The US Army continues to struggle to get all of its pilots the flying hours they need for training stateside due to budgetary constraints and amid the high operational tempo of rotary wing units, Maj. Gen. Michael Lundy, the Army’s Aviation Center of Excellence commander, said.

I seem to remember the same issues back in the early eighties, anytime we had a flight scheduled. Anybody on flight status would try and jump on so they could get their flight hours for the month.

How about cut the committee that cut the budget... No matter what. The need for a air mobile Army needs to be ready... To be able to move at a moments notice ! To perform missions and safe as possible....Budget cuts putting Soldiers life at risk....
