PO1 William "Chip" Nagel freedom of speech is important-for Donald Trump supporters and if that's what it takes for to make a difference in the election, more power to the pupil. Good read and share!

Capt Jeff S. - I checked, and there is no vetting allowed by the constitution except birthplace and age. It's the electoral vote that counts. Actually, BHO got more southern electors than Lincoln. On everyone of your assertions, we disagree, but I can see you're a man of faith, so there would be no reasoning with you, would there?

SP5 Christine Conley - A Marine coworker in my office at the VA told me that he went to find a church in Orlando, and at the end of the service, the pastor told him that he might be more comfortable down the street where others of his kind attended. Sometimes I have to wonder: Who Would Jesus Hate?

Trump is fully anti-American. He's ISIS' best recruiting tool.
Does Trump really support freedom of speech? Only his own, it seems. “in the good old days [continued protesting] doesn’t happen,” Trump told his fans, “because they used to treat them very, very rough. And when they protested once, you know, they would not do it again so easily…I love the old days — you know what they used to do to guys like that when they were in a place like this? They’d be carried out on a stretcher, folks.” Actually, he wishes his rallies were more violent!
Considering that he lied about reading the Bible, it’s not surprising that Trump doesn’t support Freedom of Religion. He said we have “absolutely no choice” and must shut down some mosques.
Equality? From a 1992 New York magazine interview: "Women, you have to treat them like shit."
Presidential? Trump frequently discussed women he had sex with, by name. After England's royal Lady Diana was killed in an automobile accident in 1997, Trump told radio listeners he thinks he could have slept with her, saying she had “supermodel beauty.”
Maybe it's not that he doesn't agree with the Constitution--possibly he's never actually seen one.

Capt Michael Greene - The executive has amassed power ever since FDR, both house are servile to the presidency and big business. Obama has transformed the presidency to something like the emperors of Rome. I believe his function is the destruction of Pax Americana.

Somewhat yes and no, Patrick. I remember reading that when the markets crashed in 1929 and the Great Depression hit, Congress assembled, voted overwhelmingly to give the president emergency powers over the economy, and then after the vote, set several people to task to write the bill that they had approved. A little backward, but the Congress didn't want the responsibility of tackling the nation's needs in an emergency. On a couple of occasions, if I'm correct, the Congress has given the president their war powers as well. Interesting thing about these emergency laws: they had no end date and were never repealed!
I agree that the Congress does whatever the billionaire class wants. Last year there was a study of laws and funding bills passed, compared to what the voters had voted for. The result was a little upsetting to me: It seems that whatever big business wants, big business gets. However, the study concluded that the voters had little to no influence over the Congress. Seems we're living in an oligarchy, not a representative democracy.
The most pissed off people in America are the white, male, lesser educated, lower income folks who vote Republican. They have not had any power in Congress in my lifetime. No one has been looking out for them. After the 2008 Great Recession, the gov't bailed out GM, Chrysler, and the banks which caused the financial crisis--this was necessary. But when it came to the trillion dollar jobs bill, suddenly the Right Wing laughed and told us that the jobs weren't actually shovel ready, and we should blame BHO. When the poorest Red States needed healthcare, the Right Wing leadership somehow convinced their people that it was socialism and should be rejected. OK then. 7.5 years later, the least productive Congress in the history of the republic, having passed fewer bills than any before it, having declared that their highest priority was to make BHO's administration fail, having shut down the government a couple of times, has royally let down their constituents, and they want you to blame BHO for that.
But I see no evidence that BHO is trying to destroy America. Without any assistance from the GOP, this president has had 74 consecutive months of job growth, unemployment is only 5 percent, the stock market is waaay high, corporate profits and CEO compensation is at record highs, interest rates are the lowest in 30 years, there’s no inflation, oil imports are declining, US oil production is at record highs, and torture is no longer a national policy. Mostly, I’m happy that troop deaths are no longer dozens per week.
If this president has been trying to turn America into a socialist country, I think we must note that as a socialist, he's been a complete failure.

CPL Patrick Brewbaker - I don't want to make assumptions or put words in your mouth. So would you like to say what is your point in posting the Van Jones video?

Thanks for the kind and agreeable manner in which you voiced your disagreement. I do appreciate that, so voted up. As to your concern about our national debt: The value of our national assets depends upon faith. All the countries in the world believe that we are the most able to ride out a bad financial storm, so they are confident our currency is valuable, and they continue to buy bonds. No one wants to see the world collapse, so they will do anything to prevent an American default.

Sometimes chaplains and other Holy Joe's get full of themselves and allow their politics to flow into their prayers. It was for this reason that I stopped going to church as I grew tired of the preacher politicians who confused the word of God with the word of man.

Exactly how I began to question the whole God concept. Two preachers assured us they were the only right way to go, but they disagreed 180*. I had to find God myself, and whoops! He turned out to be a figment of the ancient imagination.
