A U.S. fighter jet shot down an Iranian drone as it approached a U.S. aircraft carrier in the Arabian Sea on Feb. 3, the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has announced.
The incident comes at a moment of heightened tensions between Washington and Tehran. President Donald Trump recently ordered naval forces to the Middle East, and has threatened military strikes on Iran if it doesn’t agree to new limits on its nuclear development.
CENTCOM, which oversees U.S. military operations in the Middle East, said the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln was operating about 500 miles from Iran’s southern coast on Tuesday, when U.S. forces spotted what they identified as an Iranian Shahed-139 drone.

As soon as I heard they had shot down this drone, Brother Vic, my first thought was "how big of an explosion did it make"? And I still have that question.

An Iranian drone altering its course to intercept our ships should be shot down.
I have to laugh out loud that the drone didn't follow de-escalatory instructions. Really? What part of 'drone' doesn't our nature understand?
