WTF?!

Is this a design flaw in the aircraft itself? Or are the mechanics and avionics crews sitting on their collective asses and people are dropping the ball? Marines have enough to worry about rather than being killed by their own aircraft.

The CH-53 and its numerous variants are the most crash prone rotary wing asset the DoD has in its inventory. I don't know why the Marine Corps keeps insisting on flying an air-frame they cannot afford to maintain.

Until we have more information from the investigations, we will not know the causes of these incidents. The Marine Corps will take the needed corrective actions.
