US Marshals Are Arresting People Who Are Behind on Student Loans

I think banks should not be able to do this since they are part of the problem. Why would you give a kid $50,000 in student loans so they could study art, photography, music, etc. You know they will never make enough to repay the loan. They do it because it is government backed and after you default 90 days the loan is paid in full with interest from the federal government. That is why the interest is so high and why they will give it to them. The banks have bought your government and that is why they agree with this. I'm on the hook for 2 kids as a co-signer. The first is a computer software engineer and makes more than me so I'm OK there, the second was turned down from the military for hearing, so now wants to be a police officer.
