Yeesh, sir. That's harsh. :P
I think we (military) are one of the most congealed areas in this society. Sure, we give each other sh*t more so than other areas, but when it comes down to it, we're all brothers/sisters. Are there outliers? Definitely. But, for the most part, we tend to be color-blind.

I see nothing in the statements that contradict what the CINC announced. The few that feel differently are few in number. Their groups would atrophy and die if they were ignored by the public and MSM. Anarchists and haters of all stripes are a blight on our country.

No one likes that view. They want to draw attention so people click, watch, and read the 'news'. The majority of us go on with our lives everyday treating each other with dignity and respect.
These guys are in the vast, vast minority.

Master Chief, I do not feel they were directly disrespectful at all. What I DO feel this is where the military took a stance on something that at the moment "is" politically charged while still on AD. McCrystal didn't like Obama (among many other GO's), but his staff talked bad about him publicly and he paid the price, even though he himself never sad it. For them to actually stand on their own, unprompted, and unscripted IS a big deal to the military as a whole. Also look at the CG Commandant when he came out saying he wouldn't put transgenders out. The military's apolitical stance is being tested more and more. While this would seem benign, when was the last time you saw a unified front from active service service chiefs to anything that wasn't a direct military action? You don't have to call the foolish commander a fool to his face for the unit to know the leader is a fool.

Never mentioned any of them being disrespectful, quite the opposite. When I read their statements, they were consistent with President Trump's original statement regarding racism and extremism. The USCG Commandant didn't do anything disrespectful, he did what most good leaders do and maintain morale. But, you know, if someone has a thin skin, bad things can happen. The last eight years have been especially tough on top military leadership.
