I think it has something to do with the avionics and helmet in the F-35 but if the F-18 gets an upgrade you would think the systems will be compatible.

LCDR (Join to see) - I can't wait for the stuff to trickle down into the other Aviation platforms or maybe even be used or armored vehicles can communicate to the plane or laser target for them in coordination with Forward Air controllers. Going to be interesting what happens in the future this stuff becomes common on other platforms.
