Fair winds and following seas, Master Chief. Kick Davey Jones in the teeth when you get there. Your generation changed the world.

Thanks for the post, Colonel. I also want to be buried at sea when I die. Pretty common for Sailors, I think. Unfortunately, my ship is razor blades now, so the Pacific will just have to do!

I hear a LOT of Arizona survivors want their remains interned there when they die.

COL Charles Williams - It's certainly on my bucket list of spots to visit, as I had a Great Uncle do down on the ship.

SFC Shirley Whitfield - I have to agree. I went as a little girl and I want to go back again, but this time with my husband since he has not seen it.

I went by the Arizona Memorial in 1978 on a tour of Pearl Harbor but I did not actually go on the Arizona Memorial until I was actually on duty in the Army Reserve doing a key resolve exercise in Hawaii period before the exercise started we were allowed a half day off and we got to go to see the USS bowfin the Arizona Memorial and the USS Missouri. Seeing the wreath from the Japanese Shinto shrine was awesome and I'm glad that the Prime Minister of Japan came by last year to honor the Fallen along with President Obama.
