My dad's unit deployed onto this ship in the Caribbean during during I think, the Korean war, he went to Gitmo as well as sevl other places in the Caribbean while on it, he was a Grumman TBM avenger aircraft mechanic, enjoy....

Yeah, the weird part was I actually met onenofnthenplank owner sailors frommit, and had him meet my dad, just after we'd lost my mom, he'd asked my dad why he never went to the reunions which even deployed party could go to. I guess my dad never got terribly engrossed in such things, plus, he wouldn't have had my mom to go with, so I guess that would've been pretty depressing for him in retrospect, most likely. I just wish he had gone to such things, I just think he'd have enjoyed it, nevertheless, I just could never convince him, you know?

Capt Daniel Goodman - Well at least you tried. I know some people love Tiger Cruises and Reunions, some people not so much. Maybe some day I will visit the Reincarnation of USS Arkansas or USS California.
