Oops, I know of a CO, XO, OOD and Navigator that might be looking for Employment Soon. Strait of Juan de Fuca is wide but not that wide and you have to be careful.

When the Essex collided with a replenishment shipin 2012 I believe I read in one article which referenced the accident report that there was: 'chaos' on the bridge just before the collision. I would hate to have been up there at that time. A 'steering malfunction' was originally reported. Can't recall reading anywhere the result of the investigation.
