VA suspends funeral honors, large gatherings at cemeteries due to coronavirus

Sucks.

I am thinking that our society is moving toward acceptance of life-disrupting events like a pandemic and will eventually give it a name so a general “announcement of status change” will cause us to shift in and out of these various modes. This saddens me, as it gives the government too much power. For the first time in my lifetime, churches are not meeting on Sunday for the next 2+ weeks because the government told us not to. I am in a “status confessionus” situation, but to no avail. Since I am retired, I am not making those decisions with a community anymore. Lots of prayers from an old man.
